Media managers support call

Have you ever asked yourself, "Who should I send this press release to?" Or maybe you've thought, "I wish I could hear about CCL on my local NPR station." Well, CCL's Communications staff is here to help!

Flannery Winchester and Steve Valk will host a Zoom call on Thursday, Oct. 22, to offer support and answer questions about media work.

Time: 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT

Who: This call is open to CCL volunteers who are already working on media in their chapters ("media managers") or volunteers who want to start doing media work. 

A few current local media opportunities are:

• Generating news coverage about CCL's upcoming December conference and lobbying, using this new press release template
• Publishing op-eds about the ongoing hurricane season or wildfires, using these op-ed templates
• Writing letters to the editor to continue the drumbeat of calling for climate action, responding to local articles or writing about these LTE topics
